Mabel Lena Vincent 1893-1985. She lived
away for many year. She was a great supporter of Holy Trinity Anglican Church . She left home at an early age and worked in Worcester , MA
(at a sanitarium and then an envelope factory); she later moved to West Fort Anne, NY where she spend many years working for and taking care of a doctor. She moved back to PEI in 1971.

Marion Sophie (Barbour) Donald - Obituary
1931 - 2019
The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the
Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Saturday, January 19, 2019, with her
family by her side, of Marion Sophie Donald, beloved wife of the late
John (Jack) Donald, of Montrose, age 87 years. Born at Alma,
P.E.I., on August 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John
Harry and Rachael Marion (nee Hardy) Barbour.
Dear mother to Della (Dennis) Rix of St. Lawrence and Darrell
(Tracy) Donald of Montrose. Cherished grandmother to Taylor Donald,
Sophie Rix, Jenna Rix and Jake Rix (Katherine). Dear sister to Wanda
Matthews (George Richard) of Alberton. She will be sadly
missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces,
cousins, and by her many friends and acquaintances.
She was predeceased by siblings, Waldron (late Daisy), Eldon
(late Olive), Sterling (late Margaret), and Elmer (late Ethel). She
was also predeceased by a brother-in-law, Basil
Matthews.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton.
Visiting hours Wednesday, January 23rd from 6:00 to 9:00
p.m. Funeral Thursday morning, January 24th from the E. Gerald Rooney
Memorial Chapel for funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Lynn McKinnon
officiating. Interment later in the Montrose United Church
Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Palliative
Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary, or to the Montrose

Verna Orilla (McDowell) Jeffery - Obituary
1940 - 2018
The death occurred peacefully at her home, on her 78th
birthday, on Sunday, September 16, 2018, of Verna Orilla (McDowell)
Jeffery, of Alberton and formerly of Alma. Beloved wife of the late
Wilbert C. Jeffery (who predeceased her on Sept. 19,
2017). Born at Knutsford on September 16, 1940, she was the
daughter of the late Roy and Empress (nee MacNevin)
McDowell.
Loving mother to Carter, Robert (Barbara), Randy (Christine),
Late Kerras (Shirley), Diane (Glen) Wallace, Kenneth (Jody)
and Darlene (Rheal) Lacroix. Grandmother to Jennifer
(Owen) Pitre, Mark, Cheryl (Christopher) Clements, Marcy (Devin)
Ellis, Courtney (Travis), Corinda, Shaylyn Wallace, Colin Wallace,
Stephen, Darcie, and Madeline (Keenen) Arsenault. Great-grandmother to
Ciara and Emma Pitre, Charlie, Connor and Cadie
Clements. She is also survived by sisters, Millie (Russell)
Brown of Hamilton, Ont., and Elsie (Late Allison) Smith of West Point,
and by sisters-in-law Mabel (Late Bill) Barnett of Summerside, Noreen
Jeffery of Alberton, and Gladys (Late Bill) Grant of Scarborough, Ont.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Wilbert, son Kerras and parents, she was
predeceased by brothers-in-law, Gordon (Freda) Jeffery, Harold (Joey)
Jeffery, Sterling Jeffery, Preston (Delores) Jeffery, and
sister-in-law, Eileen (Late Ralph) Greene.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel,
Alberton, for visiting hours Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral
Wednesday morning from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel for
funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fran Boutilier, Rev. Cathy Pharo
and Dorothy Miller officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity
Anglican Cemetery Alma. Family flowers only.
